The LP-5200 series are hand held, stabilized Laser Light Sources used to inject light into connectorized optical fiber. Team any of the LP-5200 series with an optical power meter and set the light source to its CW mode to perform completion testing of installed links. The LP-5200 series can also be used in their Modulated modes in conjunction with fiber indentifiers to select fibers during service activities.
Three models are available in the LP-5200 series. The LP-5210 and the LP-5220 are single wavelength units that produce wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm, respectively, while the LP-5250 provides selectable wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm
All of the LP-5200 series laser light sources offer the convenience of three way power. They can operate by using either the AC Charger/Adapter or on their rechargeable NiCd batteries or by using alkaline batteries.
